St. Clair Farmstead is a new small-scale vegetable farm located in Concordia, MO, just down the road from David's Pasture. We sell seasonal vegetables directly from our farm, at Brookside Farmer's Market and through our CSA. We implement organic growing practices and strive to use growing techniques that are easily sustainable and replicable. Our hope is to have a farm that improves the health of our community and bolster the local economy. We also have a passion for learning and developing farming practices that can be replicated anywhere. We desire to use our small farm as a means to helping people in poor urban and rural places around the world to improve their quality of life and health.
The 2019 CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) will run from the end of May until the first of October. Members can expect to receive weekly shares for 20 weeks delivered to a convenient location in your area. The delivery points will be determined based on the number of shareholders in any given area. A few locations already determined include Concordia, Brookside Farmers Market, Excelsior Springs, and Warrensburg.
The weekly shares will include approximately $25 to $30 worth of vegetables. Full shares are $575 and payment is due by the end of January. Items to expect during the season are salad mix, microgreens, arugula, swiss chard, kale, spinach, radishes, potatoes, green beans, beets, turnips, tomatoes, peppers, broccoli, cucumbers, zucchini, eggplant, onions, and garlic.
