St. Clair Farmstead is a small-scale vegetable farm located in Concordia, MO. We sell seasonal vegetables through David's Pasture, directly from our farm, at the Brookside Farmer's Market, and through our CSA. We implement all-natural growing practices and strive to use growing techniques that are easily sustainable and replicable. Our hope is to have a farm that positively impacts our community and encourages people to eat healthy food. We also have a passion for learning and developing farming practices that can be replicated anywhere. We desire to use our small farm as a means of helping people in poor urban and rural places around the world to improve their quality of life and health.
The 2021 CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) will run from the end of May until the first of September, for a total of 17 weeks. A single full share is $450 and is valued at just over $25 per week. Shares can be picked up at the Brookside Farmers Market or at our farm in Concordia. You can also choose to have your CSA share delivered by David's Pasture, subject to their delivery fees (details can be found here!)
We strive to keep shares filled with a variety of vegetables, but also have a consistent supply of staple items you can use every week. Examples of items to expect during the season are salad mix, arugula, swiss chard, kale, spinach, radishes, sweet corn, potatoes, green beans, beets, turnips, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, zucchini, eggplant, onions, garlic, etc. Variety is often based on the timing of the season. Typically early season shares have more greens and root crops, then summer and fall shares have more warm-weather crops and storage vegetables with fairly consistent offerings of greens.
