Kim's Favorite Breakfast Quiche

Soooo technically this is a Pillsburry recipe, but it was given to me by my mother-in-law so I think of it as hers.
It's so yummy, customizable, and easy! I made my own crust from milled wheat flour, but feel free to use a pre-made crust or omit the crust altogether. You can also get creative with the fillings. Want to try a different cheese? Go for it! I like to use pepper jack. Sausage can also be substituted for the bacon, or you can just do veggies!
In the quiche pictured, I used bacon, mushrooms, and green onions. Enjoy!

- Servings: 8
Ingredients
- (1) Pie Crust
- (1 cup) Half-and-Half or Milk
- (4) Eggs
- (1/4 teaspoon) Salt
- (1/4 teaspoon) Pepper
- (8 slices cooked and crumbled) Original Bacon
- (1 cup) Shredded Cheddar or Swiss Cheese
- (1/4 cup) Parmesan Cheese (grated)
- (*optional) Veggies of Your Choice
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350. Place pie crust in desired pan. A 9 inch pie pan is suggested, but as you can see in the photo, I sometimes use a square dish.
2. Mix half-and-half or milk, eggs, salt, and pepper in a bowl and set aside. Layer meat, cheeses, and veggies in crust-lined dish.
3. Pour egg mixture over top.
4. Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until knife inserted in the middle comes out clean. Let rest for 5 minutes and then cut into wedges.
